Your Role and Responsibilities

Mission
  • As an Enterprise Security Architect in Kyndryl’s Security and Resiliency practice you will be client facing trusted technical advisor. You will be responsible for translating the client’s business requirements to define the structures of solutions and architectures, including systems, applications, and process components.
Role Purpose
  • The Architect understands client needs, works in levels of abstraction, applies industry knowledge, and leverages appropriate business elements and information technology to address those needs. This includes working with client personnel and executives to identify functional and non-functional requirements and subsequently working with and leading others in the identification, justification, and design of the client's solution.
Outcomes
  • You will be responsible for a wide range of architectural activities from requirements analysis through systems, application and/or process design specification. At the Senior level or higher, the position requires significant knowledge across multiple platforms, processes, or architectures, as well as broad knowledge of new technologies, and will include directing the architectural efforts of less experienced architects.
  • You will bring strong technical expertise to help drive these projects to success.
Key Stakeholder Relationships
External
  • This specialty helps client IT and business executives understand key Cloud and Infrastructure security issues, risks, exposures, and vulnerabilities. They develop the architecture and detailed technical designs for Infrastructure & Endpoint using commercially available and open source products, as well as defined standards and policies with Kyndryl Methods, Reference Architectures and Technical Work Products to provide assessments and solutions, including Mobility Solutions, which will help their clients achieve their business and security objectives.
Internal
You will work with a variety of internal staff including:
  • pre-sales teams for solution validation and network architecture expertise.
  • Account, program and project managers to ensure your solutions are deliverable in both a timely and costly manner.
  • subject matter experts to achieve client objectives and ensure the client deliverables created align with the architecture and design, and
  • operations teams to ensure your solutions are supportable and functioning.
Key Accountabilities
  • Create repeatable architectures, solutions, and documentation to be used at scale in developing and evolving enterprise technologies.
  • Work with engineering teams to define detailed solutioning methodologies as well as providing expertise and guidance.
  • Interface with customers on all technical including lab trials, testing and deployments.
  • Work with cross functional teams (network, cloud, software, compute) to ensure integration and requirements meet customer acceptance criteria and external compliance requirements.
  • Propose new, creative solutions for complex, system-wide problems.
  • Explore novel approaches to system integration between new and existing security technologies

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Subject matter expertise in Application Security, Data & Privacy Security, Cloud Security, or Cryptography is highly regarded.
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect & Security Certified (AZ-303 / AZ-304 & AZ-500 or equivalent)
  • Expertise in both low level and high-level design within a B&F or Enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture disciplines and frameworks including TOGAF, SABSA and Risk Management.
  • Experience taking ownership of Stakeholder and Partner Management, promoting Enterprise Security across the organisation.
  • Proven negotiation capabilities by engaging, informing, and influencing key stakeholders and business partners.
  • Experience reviewing new and existing projects for information security compliance by developing, documenting, and communicating adherence to architecture policies & standards.
  • Proven capabilities in recommending improvement opportunities within portfolio to drive continuous security improvement and ensure Westpac remains innovative and up to date with market leading technologies and industry trends.
  • Proven SIEM solution skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

  • Preference for Architect Profession certification (e.g., TOGAF)
  • Preference for Federal Clearance
  • Familiarity with Dev-Ops, Dev-Sec-Ops, Dev-Net-Ops.
  • Understanding of information technology platforms (desktop, midrange, mainframe, and applications)
  • Understand and apply knowledge of architectural frameworks and engagement models
  • CISSP, GSEC, CISM, or CISA preferred.
