Your Role and Responsibilities
Introduction
Kyndryl spun off from IBM in November 2021, instantly becoming the largest infrastructure services provider in the world with many of the Fortune 500 already among its clients. But we don’t want to be JUST an infrastructure services provider, we want and need to find innovative ways to do more for those clients. With that in mind, we have been aggressively expanding our consulting ranks in innovative areas like cloud computing, software development, and data. This expanded consulting team will work with new and existing clients to help them achieve more.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The DevOps Engineer role is pivotal to successfully helping our clients achieve more. In this role, a person must have a deep technical understanding of DevOps and then providing that expertise while delivering on a project.
Our projects involve building MVPs DevOps solutions and doing Proof of Concepts to demonstrate how DevOps can be enhanced to help our clients achieve more with their application development teams by modifying existing DevOps culture and technology.
This role is critical for many our clients to solve the problem of how to get developers and operators to collaborate with each other to drive business value. DevOps Engineers are responsible for working with SREs and Developers to build better development platforms, CI/CD pipelines, operational models, and Agile culture. Our clients are looking for modern approaches in their DevOps initiatives to build better pathways of delivery, so the DevOps Engineer must constantly be up to date on the latest DevOps trends and technologies.
Soft skills are a must for DevOps Engineers to be successful. Must be able to ask well thought out questions and then be a good listener for the answer. Speaking the language of Agile and DevOps while explaining technical details to experienced application development teams and then demonstrating superior Agile and DevOps skills to those teams is required.
If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position $106,840 to $203,000 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately.
If this is a sales role, you may be eligible for additional incentive compensation opportunities. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for Kyndryl’s Growth Driven Profit-Sharing plan.
