Your Role and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but not limited to:Responsible for installing, managing and upgrading Microsoft Windows-based systems and servers. The system administrator seeks to ensure that the performance, reliability and security of the systems is maintained.
Maintain security of the customer environment by reviewing vulnerability and penetration scan data and taking corrective action.
Maintain an Active Directory and Domain Name Services (DNS) infrastructure. Configure and troubleshoot Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
Maintain Vmware infrastructure - patching, upgrading Vcenter, ESXi and Vrealize components.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
5+ years experience supporting Microsoft Windows server, all versions and editions;5+ years of experience supporting VMware Vcenter, ESXi 6.7+;
5+ years of experience working in server environments;
3+ years experience in participating in an on-call rotation and providing after hours support;
Canadian L2 (Secret) security clearance;
ability to work in a team and independently, with minimal supervision; strong problem solving abilities; leadership skills; able to adapt to change; strong organizational abilities and able to manage multiple tasks and assignments simultaneously; excellent oral and written English communication skills; French communication skills would be bonus
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Familiarity with Cisco hardware and UCS Manager would be an assetRequired Education
