Your Role and Responsibilities

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) professionals are engineers who specialize in reliability and resiliency with the right mix of knowledge and skills in Networking software and Networking systems, responsible to analyze business needs, problem determination, advise & design, build, test, deploy, changes and maintenance of a well-engineered information system and ecosystems.

As part of the Kyndryl organization, you will drive out Network automate initiatives,, make our client systems more resilient and reliable, and to overall lower costs to make Kyndryl more competitive in the marketplace. You will also be part of the major response team, where on occassion you will be pulled into customer critical crisis situations where you will lead a team of technical practionnaires and account executives in the resolution of major incidents.

As this is a senior technical role, you are well versed in the technical skills as listed below, able to lead a team, confidently speak and write reports to both customers and Kyndryl exectuives and be adaptable as Kyndryl evolves. You will also need to demonstrate a DevOps mindset, have extensive scripting / programming experience and expect further education and growth as you join an elite team of highly technical leaders to differiante Kyndryl Canada in the markplace.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

General
- Must be present and have lived in Canada for a minimum of 10 years (you will be required to apply for government security clearance)
- Need to have a system mindset - demonstrating an ability that you have Experiences in Network Routing/ switching skills (i.e. CCNP, CCIE) including programmed / scripted for automation to drive stability, resiliency and speed
- Be able to lead a team by closely working with a variety of Network Architects, network specialists, Data Center, WAN/LAN, Virtualization and SDWAN and Network Operations.
- Confidently speak and write reports both to customer, Kyndryl internal

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Infrastructure Architects with this skill set concentrate on the development and design of Network Services that support the business requirements of the client - including public, private and hybrid Cloud and Hybrid environments with integrated service assurance.

Capabilities supported include network function virtualization, WAN/LAN, data center networks, network security, ANPO, automated service chaining and software defined networks (SDN)/Networks as a programmable service including cloud monitoring. The technical solutions include evaluation and selection of the software, hardware and services required to meet the client's immediate and long-term requirements. Best practices in this specialty use reference architectures and service product assets to develop conceptual and detailed designs. Infrastructure Architects are responsible for build, performance, security, availability and scalability of the solution and the impact on the client's infrastructure.

Knowledge and application of Networking protocols including: Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Routing (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP), LAN Switching (VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel, CoS, wireless), WAN (MPLS, MPLS/VPN,MP-BGP), TCP/IP protocol suite, Application Protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL ), Network Security Protocols (IPSec VPN, AAA Architecture, TACACS+, RADIUS). Application Load Balancers, and 5G LTE and Wifi. Appropriate Certifications include: CCAr, CCDE, CCNP, CCNA, CCIE, JNCP, JNCIE, JNCIP, JNCIS, JNCIA, VMWare NSX, Riverbed.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise:
Network function virtualization, WAN/LAN, data center networks, network security, software defined networks (SDN)/Networks, 5G, LTE and WiFi.

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:
CCNP preferred. Routing and switching configurations and troubleshooting. Confident with design and configuration of the following technologies: Cisco Routers (ASR and ISR), Cisco Switches (3800 Series, Nexus, etc), Stacked switch support, Cisco Viptela and ACI technologies, Wireless Controllers and access points, VPNs (P2P and DMVPN) EIGRP & BGP routing protocols, Current best practice design principles, Authentication - TACACs/RADIUS and ISE, F5 load balancers, Palo Alto firewalls.
