Your Role and Responsibilities

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) professionals are engineers who specialize in reliability and resiliency with the right mix of knowledge and skills in software and systems, responsible to analyze business needs, problem determination, advise & design, build, test, deploy, changes and maintenance of a well-engineered information system and ecosystems.

As part of the Kyndryl organization, you will drive out automate initiatives, make our client systems more resilient and reliable, and to overall lower costs to make Kyndryl more competitive in the marketplace. You will also be part of the major response team, where on occassion you will be pulled into customer critical crisis situations where you will lead a team of technical practionnaires and account executives in the resolution of major incidents.

As this is a senior technical role, you are well versed in the technical skills as listed below, able to lead a team, confidently speak and write reports to both customers and Kyndryl exectuives and be adaptable as Kyndryl evolves. You will also need to demonstrate a DevOps mindset, have extensive scripting / programming experience and expect further education and growth as you join an elite team of highly technical leaders to differiante Kyndryl Canada in the markplace.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

General
- Must be present and have lived in Canada for a minimum of 10 years (you will be required to apply for government security clearance)
- Need to have a DevOpts mindset - demonstrating an ability that you have programmed / scripted for automation to drive stability, resiliency and speed
- Be able to lead a team by closely working with a variety of developers, network specialists, unix/intel, database and system administrators
- Confidently speak and write reports both to customer, Kyndryl internal

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Cloud General:
- Deep experience in Azure, IBM, AWS as primary and Google would be an asset
- Experienced in Taraform / Infrastructure as a Code, Monitoring and Automation

Complementary skills:
- SDN (NSX-T, ACI, etc)
- SDWAN (VMWare VeloCloud, CISCO Viptela, etc)
- Firewall (PaloAlto, Vyatta, Fortigate, Juniper, etc)
- Platform (VMWare, Windows, RHEL, etc)
- Others (Ansible/CACF, WSUS/SCCM, RH Satellite, Densify, ServiceNow, Zerto, SQL, etc)
- Hybrid Cloud Expert(Azure)-Understand every aspect of being an Azure administrator, deploying virtual machines, migrating servers to Azure, determine workload requirements.
- Private Cloud VCS(Expert)-Administration skills for managing virtual machines (VMs) using VMware ESXi and VMware vCenter to manage VMs
- Backup Administrator(Expert)- Technical professional to adjust backup schedules, resource usage, provide recommendations to improve the backup /recovery infrastructure.
