Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Database Administrator, you will be focused on maintaining, managing, configuring, upgrading and improving related Infrastructure.

The role of database administrator is critical in the market, since it requires specific knowledge of Microsoft SQL and different technologies and providers, among which the IBM DB2 and Oracle platforms stand out. The specialist's work is carried out transversally for the unit's clients and their application and business areas.

Maintain Database software instance in compliance to security policy
Configure and administer Database software
Apply Database software patches, hotfixes, efixes, interim fixes, APARs, and servicepacks
Perform Database software subsystem level recovery
Respond to requests for information about Database software or operations fromKyndryl account team
Identify Database software data and client application files and data sources to be backed up
Perform Database software problem determination and problem resolution
Manage problem tickets per client's problem management process
Open ticket with Database software vendor helpdesk and provide information
Coordinate and communicate Database software change activities
Manage change request tickets per client's change management process
Analyze and improve change management service levels
Audit problem tickets and change request records for business controls compliance
Conduct security compliance activities on Database software instances in accordance to contractual security policy requirements
Review, assess and correct security vulnerability alerts and scan results
Perform Database software security health checking
Document and report Database software security health checking results
Document and report Database software security alert response
Manage access control lists for Database software instances according to privilege revalidation process.
Maintain operational procedures documentation for Database operations
Perform startup and shutdown of Database software instances
Perform Database software performance tuning
Support disaster recovery exercises and real disaster situations
Deploy client application code/content changes into Database software instance
Provide operational support to client
Develop Database software instance and server inventory
Create, implement, maintain customized automation scripts
Perform problem trend analysis to prevent problem recurrence and to improve quality
Implement change requests, validate change modifications and rollback implemented changes to Database software instances
Define, install and configure automation/monitoring tools, utilities and scripts
Report lessons learned and best practices to the global service line component organization.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Administration of Database platforms, with at least 3-4 years of experience in Enterprise and Data Center environments (on premise / Cloud). Product (s) and / or by-products that it will support: Database Administration, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, Systems Engineer or related. Database Administrators (DBA) with knowledge of the described platform, backup policy management, database refinement: Technician, technologist or professional in systems engineering or related careers with at least one (1) years of specific experience in administration of databases, process documentation, teamwork. I work under pressure. Level Ex: 1.5 specified in the ""Activities"" tab Detail of the task (s) to be carried out: Follow the administration plan and operation of management platforms, level 1.5 support of the platform (see list of activities for reference) Required certifications: none. Basic or intermidate level in English.
