Your Role and Responsibilities

• Specializes in installing, maintaining and upgrading internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing products.
• Controls user access and passwords. Proposes and implements systems enhancements that will improve the reliability and performance of the system.
• Monitors usage and performance. This role requires excellent technical knowledge of Enterprise Storage Technologies and Industry Standards, and the ideal candidate should have a passion for solving complex technical problems, an innate ability to evaluate and judge under high pressure and excellent customer skills.
• This role also cultivates rich relationships across the organization to help achieve both team and business goals.
• This role will cover the US time zone.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Required 10 + years of experience In EMC Storage. Excellent knowledge of EMC storage products is highly desirable. EMXC VMAX, VNX XtremeIO, Compellent, VPLEX and associated products highly regarded.
• Snapshot, Replication and failover technologies experience highly regarded.
• Extensive knowledge of Enterprise level Brocade storage networking. Experience with DCX FC Backbones and edge switching on a large, redundant and complex SAN environment (+50 switches) is a must. Experience configuring and managing Brocade Network Advisor a plus.
• Previous experience with trouble ticketing system essential.
• Knowledge of Industry Monitoring Standards (CIM, SMI-S) a plus.
• Strong shell/Perl/bash scripting skills a plus.
• Strong knowledge and/or prior experience with OS administration would be a huge plus. Experience with HPUX and/or VMware particularly would be highly advantageous.
• Prior experience in process re-engineering/improvement a plus.
• Knowledge/experience on Capacity Management processes a plus.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Full suite of EMC storage products including VMAX, PMAX, VNX, VPLEX, Unity, Isilon, XIO and Compellento Brocade Enterprise Fibre Channel Directors (DCX) and Switches.
